Thrift Shop Closure Beginning November 25

After thoughtful consideration of the recent resurgence of Covid-19 in Minnesota, the
Board voted to close the Thrift Shop after 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 25, until
further notice. This decision was not made lightly but was done with the health and
safety of our member volunteers and customers as a priority.

The Thrift Shop will not be taking donations during the closure. Please hold onto your
donations until the shop reopens again.

Members should not visit the shop unless signed up for a scheduled work day while the
Thrift Shop is closed. Pat Kurt will be cancelling member shifts that are not needed on
the Chapter Calendar. If you have a need to be in the shop or backroom, please contact
either Dana Badgerow or Jan Bates to coordinate.

Reflecting on the closure Dana Badgerow stated, “We are grateful for all the volunteer
time that went into making the shop so successful during the four months-plus that we
were open. We will be back! We just don’t know when right now. We are taking this
action because we care about members and their health. We will miss the camaraderie,
companionship, fun, and contribution to our mission.”

Stay healthy and we will look forward to reopening the shop once it is deemed safe to
do so. Thank you for your understanding!
