VVV Jean Ronning October 2021

Now the exciting announcement of the month. Our October VVV!

Most of us still have friends from High School. They are probably members of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Assistance League by now!  Our VVV this month is one of those wonderful friends. She is kind, thoughtful, always has astute insights to contribute and her follow through is outstanding. She joined Assistance League in 2017.

Besides being super creative and organized, she is a fun committee chair. She is on the Open Your Heart committee, Assault Survivor Kits committee, Chair of the Hospitality Committee and Clothes For Kids site coordinator. It was her idea to organize the hospitality committee to write notes to all Assistance League members during the 2020-2021 pandemic to make sure we continued to feel connected.

When you walk in to the monthly chapter meetings you feel so welcome as evidenced by her creativity in seasonal themes, table decorations and pot luck menus.  Also, you probably recognize her from working in the Thrift Shop.

After spending 5 years in Australia, she returned to the United States and called her high school friend, Mary Arnold. “What volunteering are you doing?” she asked. “I’d like to be involved.”

The Assistance League, of course! We love her welcoming smile and glad she chose us!

Please help me congratulate our October Very Valuable Volunteer, Jean Ronning!
