VVV Terri Hudoba January 2022

This month’s VVV joined Assistance League in 2012. At that time new members worked together to host a Basket Auction, the proceeds of which went to offset May Annual Meeting expenses. As a member of this new members group, she demonstrated her leadership and organizational abilities by volunteering to oversee event finances.  The 2012 new member group have bragging rights after raising the most money of any previous group.  It was also the last time the event was held!

She used her incredible organizing and writing skills to document procedures for the front of the store and office area.  Many of our reference binders are thanks to her.  She always asked great questions to seek out the best solutions for the many issues facing the shop, listening well to answers and then collaborating to form the best solutions.  Her calm and steady ways provided the support we needed to bring ALMSP up to speed with technology.

Since that time, this VVV has continued to support our chapter by serving in several Thrift Shop positions such as Shop Manager, Communications Coordination, Counting Committee Chair and Gifting Chair. In her role as Assistant Treasurer, she was instrumental in the successful changeover from the cash register to Point-of-Sale currently in use. She provided member training, technical support and used her extensive writing abilities to create a User Manual that even the most nontechnical person can follow & understand. She has been “on call” ever since!  Additionally, she has served on the Nominating Committee, Technical Committee, and two years on the Board as VP Resource Development.

And if this wasn’t enough, look no further than your new directory! With guidance, this VVV single-handedly took over implementing a whole new format to this year’s directory and got it out in record time.

Here’s a hint! She and her husband share the same first name.

Congratulations to our January Very Valuable Volunteer, Teri Hudoba!
