This month’s Very Valuable Volunteer joined Assistance League in March 2022, and has already made significant contributions to the online team as well as the Thrift Shop. She is an expert Decider on so many things, from handbags to art to clothing, shoes, and collectibles. In fact, she was able to determine the authenticity of a vintage Gucci evening bag that we were able to sell on-line for $600! She has been more than willing to share her retail knowledge and experience with all of us; recently she created a video for members to learn how to distinguish a high dollar handbag from a knockoff. She worked with Emily, Pat, and Kris to successfully launch the Art a Go-Go and worked during the sale to help customers with art questions.

How does one person have all this high-end product knowledge? Clothes, purses, shoes, jewelry…she knows it all! We are all SO glad she decided to join the Online Thrift Shop Team! She is so fast at doing research: eBay, Poshmark, Etsy…she knows all the resale websites! And what confidence! During Jingle Belles this year, she was not learning how to sort and price holiday items, but coaching and helping her fellow Belles. All with such a friendly, supportive, encouraging attitude.

She’s enthusiastic, eager, shows up ready to learn and is a pleasure to work with!
