AL Shining Star for 2022-2023

Everything this shining star touches is better for it.  Her skills are unmatched.  She is so kind and helpful in a myriad of ways, always cheerfully volunteering to assist, and often for tasks that are not popular.

Let’s start with her leadership roles. VP of Resource Development, Thrift Shop Manager, Thrift Shop Counting Committee Chair, Assistant Treasurer, and Placement Chair. She has stepped up on multiple occasions to take on not only these leadership roles but also important administrative roles in our chapter – Finance Committee, two Ad Hoc committees, and Nominating Committee, just to name a few. She embraces technology that would intimidate many of us including the software used to produce the Directory the past 2 years and for the Anniversary she helped create the invitation list from our database. She improves every process that she touches such as: creating a form for Opportunity Days online signup, taking the lead in researching and bringing the POS system to the Thrift Shop in 2016,creating several manuals filled with questions and answers for all things Assistance League, and she is a numbers cruncher extraordinaire.

Her “people skills” are also evident as she has steadfastly and cheerfully greets members at each Chapter Meetings, keeping track of virtually everything. If one needs a process, or a conflict resolved, Terri can clearly define the issues and suggest mutually agreeable solutions.

This quiet leader readily helps with small items as well, for instance, helping to run labels, trouble shooting POS problems, and she even volunteered to create an excel sheet of attendees for this luncheon!   Essentially, she is willing to take on whatever is needed for Assistance League Minneapolis/St Paul.

She even quilts in her “spare” time!

She has been a dedicated, contributing member of our chapter for over 10 years.  What would we do without…
