The Ada Edwards Laughlin award is given to an Assistance League volunteer who goes way above and way beyond what is expected as a member. This year the award was presented in May to member Sandy Kosmicki. Since joining the Minneapolis/St. Paul chapter in 2013, she has served on 11 different committees, including chairing and co-chairing Academic All-Stars and Hospitality. She has been a Site Coordinator for Clothes for Kids, a member of the Food for Kids Committee as well as Education, Links to Learning, Membership, Operation Graduation, Start Smart, and the Thrift Shop Counting Committee. Sandy is unfailingly cheerful and always willing to go out of her way to help.
