Assistance League is excited to announce the addition of a new Advisory Council member!

This month our chapter is thrilled to announce that Roma Anderson Milton has joined
our Advisory Council. Roma joins our impressive group of Advisory Council members
who are in place to guide and advise our chapter board.

Roma Anderson Milton is the Vice President and Chief People Officer for Volunteers of
America Minnesota and Wisconsin, a non-profit organization providing services to help
vulnerable children, adolescents, families, older adults, students, persons with
disabilities and special needs, and people who are seeking a second chance ex-
offender.

Roma has over 30 years in Human Resources and has her Master’s in Organizational
Leadership. She is an accomplished Human Resources Leader with a proven record
of comprehensive leadership and performance in various fast-paced domestic and
international work environments and industries. Highly effective strategic planner with
expertise in developing and implementing human resources strategies, leading to
cultural change related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is skilled in leading and
developing teams; adept at coaching and mentoring. She is effective at building rapport
with management and employees at all levels. Demonstrated an ability to think outside
the box and implement positive change. Roma is a dedicated and goal-driven team
player, proficient at multi-tasking and championing its core mission, vision, and values
for organizations.

Roma is a former Board of Directors’ member for the House of Charity and Minnesota
Council for Independent Living and former HR Committee member for the Council of
Churches. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
And, current Mentor for Menttium, a mentoring and leadership development
organization.
