Standard school attire arrived in 2 shipments on July 13 and 20. Multiple pallets of children’s pants, shirts, socks and underwear were unloaded, stacked, and stored in the Operation School Bell room at our “Pencil Box” location. Over 3,200 students were served last year, and we expect even more for the 2017-18 school year.
This HUGE task was made easier by the many helping hands from the Lipscomb Academy boys basketball team and their coach, William Mantlo. Nine members of the Mustangs joined eleven volunteers from Assistance League to unload, transport, stack and ready clothing for distribution. This task was done in record time due to the outpouring of support from these young men. Thank you, thank you, Lipscomb Academy Basketball Team!!!
Work days for distribution begin August 14 and continue through the school year.
