Assistance League® of Nashville held its Annual Fall Author’s Luncheon on September 14, 2018 at Richland Country Club. The luncheon was a fantastic success,
as it raised over $86,000 to support various philanthropic programs that transform the lives of children throughout the Metro Nashville area.
Attendees were delighted to hear international best-selling author Ann Patchett as she spoke of her childhood and what a huge difference something as simple as new clothing, school supplies, and other necessities can make in a young child’s life.
Donna Resha, counselor at Cockrill Elementary School, also spoke at the luncheon about her experience working with ALN. She has witnessed time after time the positive impact ALN’s programs have had on her students.
In addition to the compelling speakers, ALN offered over 120 items for silent auction. Items ranging from gift cards at local restaurants to a week in the South of France raised close to $17,000. Funds raised at the event will be put to good use, bringing smiles to many children.
