Assistance League of Newport-Mesa volunteers brought cheer and ability awareness to Wood Canyon Elementary School in Aliso Viejo on September 12. Using The Kids on the Block puppets and a story about being kind to people with differences Tracy Specter, Ashley Jacobson, Deidre Campbell and Edi Thimons had a ball reading to and interacting with TK-1st graders from 5 classrooms. The puppets even brought 2 students from tears to smiles who were having rough days.
