We’re happy you’re here.
Not many people know the origins of our Thrift Shop and how deeply rooted we are in our community. Our Thrift Shop was first created in 1942 by a group of women in the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa as a way to support servicemen’s work in the community during World War II. Since then, we’ve maintained some of our strongest values of community support and involvement. Our staff is extremely dedicated, friendly, and helpful and we love having volunteers who share the same appreciation for the community as we do!
Our first Shop opened on the Balboa Peninsula in 1950. Since then, we have expanded to a new space right off the 55 freeway in Costa Mesa. Not only is cleanliness a priority but also, we organize and stage all merchandise so shoppers can navigate our aisles easily, without frustrations. We offer an excellent selection of quality merchandise including clothing, accessories, shoes, furniture, books, toys, and household items for men, women, and children of all ages – not to mention – at the most affordable prices of any Thrift Shop in the area! All proceeds from our Thrift Shop go towards funding community programs including: Cheri Harris Dental Center, The Kids on the Block, Operation School Bell®, and Scholarship Programs. You can find out more about these incredible programs by clicking here! Since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our Shop relies on donations of new and gently used merchandise as well as dedicated volunteers that share our values.
