Assistance League of North Coast is dedicated to serving the needs, primarily of children, in the communities of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista, with the goal of providing a positive starting point for academic success.
We have established a Teacher Grant program that will provide elementary and middle school teachers in these communities an opportunity to apply for grants up to $500.00 each. The purpose of these grants is to provide teachers with financial assistance for classroom enrichment programs, improving the educational process and funding educational excursions. There will be up to 20 grants awarded.
Proposal applications are accepted usually from late September to mid-October for individual projects that support and enhance the grade level curriculum, actively involve students and help prepare students for the next levels of formal education.
Please note: requests for iPads/tablets and/or computers will NOT be considered. Also, request from clubs, after school programs, or summer programs will NOT be accepted.
To apply: Applications are emailed to the Principal and Administrative Assistants of each school in late September, to be forwarded to all teachers. If you have not received the application from your school by October 1st, please contact our program co-chairs by email at alnc.at.teachergrant@gmail.com
The awarded teacher grant recipients will be notified by the end of November and the funds will be awarded by early December.
Checks will be made payable to the school to distribute the funds to each teacher grant recipient.
If you have any additional questions, please email the Teacher Grant Committee Co-chairs: alnc.at.teachergrant@gmail.com
