Assistance League of Northern Virginia hosted an appreciation tea on October 8th at the Dunbarton Club House, in Bristow, Virginia, to thank the ladies and gentlemen who sew and assemble our Hugs pillows and help make that program such a success. These heart-shaped pillows, which have a pocket that is stuffed with a beanie baby, activity book and crayons, and a crocheted frisbee, are donated to a health care clinic in Falls Church, which then distributes the pillows to children needing comfort during medical procedures at the clinic.  A most heartfelt thank you to the seventeen invaluable ‘Hugs Team’ members from Dunbarton and to the twelve Assistance League volunteers who enjoyed this Tea together.
