We are pleased to announce that Sam Hardman, the Hardman Real Estate Team, and Samson Properties have selected Assistance League of Northern Virginia to benefit from a community event scheduled for mid-June. Please join us at the Eavesdrop Brewery, 7223 Centreville Rd. Manassas, VA, 20111, on Sunday, June 11th, between 1 and 4 pm for a fun time. Sample Eavesdrop’s beers crafted from a unique mix of local ingredients, fresh flavors, and new twists on the classics, while enjoying signature sandwiches in a spacious outdoor setting. Both the Tiki Garden and the Rooftop Patio are reserved for this party. You can visit our tables on either level to learn about our philanthropic programs and discover the amazing work that we have been doing in the community for 20 years to help students by providing food, clothes, shoes, books, and toiletries. In addition, we will raffle off gift certificates for two local restaurants: Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern, Herndon; and Coastal Flats/Great America Restaurants. Once you discover all the good works we do and how much fun we have doing them, we hope you’ll consider joining our chapter, which includes women and men, the young and young at heart. We’d love to have you join our team!
We earn the resources for our programs through various fundraising efforts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and donations. Every year, we sell the official White House holiday ornaments and will be taking orders to purchase the 2023 ornament, which is a festive holiday wreath reminiscent of the decorations used during Gerald Ford’s Presidency. At $23, our price is much better than what the big card shop charges.
Another of our fund-raising efforts is the GotSneakers campaign, for which we collect gently used athletic shoes and receive reimbursement from GotSneakers.com, which makes the shoes available to those who can’t otherwise afford quality shoes. Donate your gently used sneakers and help ensure we can continue serving the most vulnerable in our community, including students at three elementary schools in Manassas. We can only accept pairs of athletic shoes; no sandals, metal cleats, or flip-flops.
