Assistance League of Northern Virginia has been helping to meet the basic needs of underserved children in our community for two decades. As part of our ongoing 20th anniversary celebration, we are focusing this month’s wish list on books to include in the colorful Hugs Bedtime pillows that are distributed to kindergarten students at the low-income schools we serve. These colorful, heart-shaped pillows are packed with a beanie baby, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a book to promote a healthy bedtime routine. Our selection of popular books features the adventures of Biscuit the Dog, Pete the Cat, and Clifford the Big Red Dog.
