Recently, several members gathered to express their gratitude to the Craft Club of the Church of the Nativity in Burke for the many ways they continue to support our chapter and programs. Craft Club members create and donate beautiful crocheted and knitted blankets and hats for babies that we use in our Baby Bundles Program, as well as winter hats for grade school students for our New Clothing for Kids program. Additionally, the Craft Club has contributed to our Weekend Food for Kids program.
Assistance League members provided a delicious spread of breakfast items for this reception. After enjoying the treats, our members shared stories highlighting how much the recipients appreciated these handmade creations. We have received many wonderful thank-you notes, all expressing gratitude for the love and care that went into each item. One Craft Club member remarked that making baby blankets and hats for those in need makes the process all the more rewarding. And for the longest-serving member of the Club, creating these beautiful items keeps her going strong, well into her 90s! We left the event with full stomachs and hearts, and with gratitude for our partnership.
