It might be hard to imagine, but many kids in Northern Virginia are hungry, especially on weekends when free meals are not available from their school.  Or a child is cold all day because they don’t have appropriate cold weather clothing.  Or an elementary student has never had a book of their own at home.  Assistance League of Northern Virginia works with public schools in Fairfax and Prince William Counties and the City of Alexandria to help meet the basic needs of students in low-income families.   But we need your help to expand our efforts.  Won’t you give to help children succeed?

Each year the generosity of community donors and program grants have allowed us to provide more resources, but significant needs still remain.   A donation to Assistance League’s Giving Tuesday campaign to Help Children in Need So They Can Succeed helps support meaningful change by addressing root causes and creating a better world.  A generous $1000 contribution from an anonymous donor for matching contributions provides an opportunity to double the impact of your donation.
