Reading over the Summer is important to help young students maintain their development and be ready for the next school year. Assistance League of Northern Virginia has been making this easier for students at the Title 1 schools it serves by providing a wide variety of books each month during the summer.
The community can support Assistance League in this effort by making a selection from our April wish list. This month’s New Books for Kids wish list includes popular favorites such as Pete the Cat titles, The Baby-Sitters Club and Encyclopedia Brown. The list also includes “I Survived” books describing historical events and “I Can Read” books for younger students. There is something for every grade level.

Please select the Assistance League of Northern Virginia as the shipping address to assure prompt delivery. Feel good knowing your contribution will help provide low-income students with ready access to books to assure their skills don’t slip over the summer break.
