The Orange Chamber of Commerce chose Assistance League as the 2021 Community Organization of the Year for its on-going good work in the community and especially the group’s collaboration this summer with pop-up vaccine clinics in Orange that inoculated hundreds of residents against COVID-19. That project, undertaken by Assistance League’s Orange Blossoms Auxiliary, included staffing the check-in tables and providing lunches for the doctors and nurses. President Karen O’Keefe and Wendi Forrest accepted the Chamber’s honor at the October 6 State of the City event.
