Assistance League President Leslie Sorrells was named Principal for the Day by Cambridge Elementary School and hosted by Principal Dana Encheff on March 2, 2023. Student Council members Eva Morales and Melissa Ramirez escorted Principal Sorrells around their campus of 452 students.  They visited the Sensory Room, the Visual and Performing Arts classroom, the Transitional Kindergarten and English Language programs, and the playground. In recognition of Read Across America week, all students wore red and white to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Afterward, Leslie and other Principals for the Day from schools around the district met up at Orange High School for a reception and presentation.
