Bringing comfort to children

The Bear Hugs program was created in 2008 to provide huggable teddy bears to abused, neglected or otherwise traumatized children. Our volunteers deliver bears to local area hospitals, first responders and various community based organizations.

Bear Hugs is 100% staffed by volunteers of Assistance League of Pasadena. Our volunteers distributed over 3,750 huggable bears in 2023-2024. We also have provided coloring books, crayons, sticker sets and Play-Doh®.
