Assistance League of Sacramento awards scholarships to students attending community colleges in the Greater Sacramento area. Awards go to students with financial need and life circumstances more difficult than most, who demonstrate ability, aptitude, and a dedication to their educational goals.
Our program identifies individuals with incredible resilience, determination, and commitment to education as a path to a better life for themselves and their families. We offer four types of scholarships to students who attend community colleges and subsequent four-year institutions: New Recipients, Previous Recipients, New Foster Recipients, Previous Foster Recipients. Students in the Foster categories may also be considered for New and Previous Recipient scholarships, if they meet the criteria.
Scholarships are awarded annually in May, during a special reception for recipients and their guests. This year’s awards will be: $2,500 for New and New Foster Recipients; $4,000 for Previous and Previous Foster Recipients.
