FAQ for Consignment
The consignor keeps 60% of the the sale price; Encore’s 40% is reinvested in our community through our philanthropies: clothing children, supplying backpacks and school supplies, providing art experiences and supplies, providing educational puppet programs, assisting with dental screenings for local school children, supporting the Bookmobile visits to every first grade classroom in Salem-Keizer, delivering library materials to adults who cannot get to the library, assisting youth transitioning from foster care, providing additional services for homeless students, and birthday parties for children in shelters.
Consignment is on Mondays by appointment.
We make it very easy to arrange to consign. Please take pictures of your items and either email them to us at encore@als-k.org or bring the pictures to Encore. If we can sell them for you we will call you to arrange a time for you to bring your furniture down to us. Please bring people to assist you in moving your furniture.
Unfortunately, we do not have pick up or delivery service available through Assistance League. We have several movers who have given us their business information.

- Furniture in poor condition
- Furniture from a smoking environment or pet smells
- Hide-a-beds (used)
- Mattresses
- Electronic equipment
- Carpets / area rugs
- Pictures without wire hangers
- Toddler beds / cribs
- Futons
- Hard wired chandeliers/lights
- Pianos or Organs
Because there is little demand we are temporarily not taking:

FAQ for shopping at Encore
No, we do not have the ability to move furniture.
You have up to a week to pick up your purchases.
Individuals can secure their spot in line for purchase of an item by placing a written note on the back door to the store (parking lot side) identifying the time and telling which item they are wishing to purchase. The notes are taken in order of appearance. It is first come, first served. The customer must stay in the parking lot.
All sales are final. You could, however, choose to reconsign it with us.
No, we sign contracts with our consignors that include the automatic price reductions.
The first price reduction is after 45 days. The second is after 30 days.
Procedures for Markdown Day Before the
Store Opens
If you are wanting an item that drops to half price:
Park in the back parking lot.
Place a note on the door with your NAME and the TIME you arrived.
You MUST stay at the store.
