AL of San Jose’s Readers Are Leaders program, besides reading and donating books to students’ classrooms, also provides a $50 grant to the teachers in our Readers Are Leaders classrooms.  One creative and thrift-conscious teacher was able to purchase all of these books for her classroom to model her love of reading with her students. We couldn’t provide this service to our community if it weren’t for the generous donations we receive from The Safeway Foundation, the Steve and Loree Potash Believe in Reading Fund, and other generous community members.
