In March, Readers are Leaders volunteers read “Listen” a biography of 🥁Evelyn Glennie by Shannon Stocker, illustrated by Devon Holtzwarth and 🐒”Grumpy Monkey” by Suzanne Lang, illustrated by Max Lang. They learned how to cope with a ☹️bad mood and about the rewards of 💖passion and perseverance. Did you know that even a child who loses their hearing can become a knighted, professional musician?! Each student also received the National Geographic Kids book “Animal Architects” by Libby Romero to keep. Adding more enjoyment and understanding, enrichment projects for each book were given to the teachers to distribute to students later.  Do you like reading to children? Join us!
