Our Screening Eyes Early volunteers are trained to screen the vision of children 👬, ages 3 to 6, in their preschools.

Since these children do not yet know the alphabet, we use images like a square 🔲, a house , a circle ⭕️ and a heart ❤️ (which some little ones call an “apple” 🍎). We check for vision issues as well as for amblyopia, otherwise known as “lazy eye”, which, when found early, can be very easily corrected.
