In February, Readers Are Leaders volunteers read and discussed🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️”The Courage of the Little Hummingbird”📗by Leah Henderson (author) and Magaly Morales (illustrator) and “Escape Goat”📘by Ann Patchett (author) and Robin Preiss Glasser (illustrator) to 49 classes in 10 San Jose elementary schools.

A fun project🖍️😊 for each book was left in the classroom to enrich the reading experience and to remind the students of the stories after they have been read.

Again this month, each student also received a book to keep, “The Rat” by Elise Gravel, another addition to their collection of the “The Disgusting Critters Series”.📚
