In January, Readers Are Leaders volunteers read and discussed 📖📖 two wonderful books to students in 50 San Jose classrooms, “Of Thee I Sing” by President Barak Obama, illustrated by Loren Long, and “Chester Van Chime Who Forgot How to Rhyme” by Avery Monsen, illustrated by Abby Hanlon. 😃👏🥰The students are so excited when volunteers arrive! We gave the teachers projects about the books to distribute when there is time in their class schedule and every student received 📙a separate book to take home and keep. Today’s Readers are Tomorrow’s Leaders!
