Did you know …

The United States Postal Service is an independent agency of the executive branch of the United States federal government. It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the Constitution of the United States. As of 2023, the Postal Service operates 33,641 Post Office and contract locations in the U.S. and delivered a total of 127.3 billion packages and pieces of mail to 164.9 million delivery points in fiscal year 2022. A Contract Postal Unit (CPU), which is what the Assistance League of San Pedro-South Bay operates, is a supplier-owned or supplier-leased site operated by the supplier, under contract to the Postal Service to provide postal products and services to the public at U.S. Postal Service prices.

Our San Pedro-South Bay chapter runs and operates the only all-volunteer post office in the country. All of the services offered by the United States Post Office are offered here, except money orders and passport processing. All proceeds go directly back to the community through our many charitable programs.  Come see us!
