Transforming Lives in Santa Ana
Philanthropic Programs
At the Heart of Community Service: Our philanthropic programs are more than just initiatives; they are lifelines that connect the heart of the Assistance League of Santa Ana to the community. From clothing and educating children to honoring our seniors, each program is a testament to the power of compassion and commitment. Join us as we celebrate these small miracles that make a big difference.
Operation School Bell®
In this signature program, students in grades K-8 receive two complete uniform sets, three pairs of socks and underwear, shoes, a jacket, a backpack filled with supplies, and a new book for their grade level. The children leave with wide grins and a renewed sense of confidence. Over the last ten years, Assistance League of Santa Ana has purchased over $1,000,000 worth of uniforms and supplies, and clothed over 20,000 children in Santa Ana.
College Scholarships
Annually, we award twenty $2,000 scholarships to deserving graduating seniors in SAUSD’s CTE Program. Additionally, we award $5,000 scholarships to five students who are transitioning to four-year colleges. These scholarships empower students to continue their education and achieve their dreams.
Dental Center
We provide low-cost dental care for low-income children, adults and seniors in Santa Ana and surrounding communities. Treatment is available for children and adults without dental insurance. We are providers for CalOptima/Medi-Cal/Denti-Cal.
Gift of Giving
Every December, approximately forty families within the Migrant Education Program of the SAUSD, are adopted by Assistance League of Santa Ana members, friends, and work groups. Families are treated to a Christmas Party with Santa, Mrs. Claus, face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, and other family activities. Each family leaves with gifts specially purchased for them. It’s a festive occasion for guests and volunteers.
Community Outreach
Since 2014, Assistance League of Santa Ana has reached out to hundreds of underserved disadvantaged individuals in Santa Ana to fill their most basic needs and to transform lives and strengthen our community.
SOC It to Hunger
This program assists Santa Ana Unified School District in the collection of canned goods, rice, beans, and other staples, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, for homeless and disadvantaged students and their families suffering from food insecurity.
Your contribution is more than a donation—it’s a lifeline.
