ACT LOCALLY, THINK NATIONALLY
The National Assistance League helps Wichita volunteers realize our vision for our community. All funds raised stay in greater Wichita for the benefit of ALW philanthropic programs. Assistance League of Wichita is one of 120 chapters with 22,000 members nationwide.
Thirty-five years ago, 1987, charter members launched Assistance League of Wichita.
Assistance League philanthropic programs continue to grow and thrive because chapters identify local problems and deliver the right solutions. Chapter volunteers conduct community needs assessments and develop programs to meet the needs they uncover. The National Assistance League has a century-long track record of well-funded and well-staffed programs which make Assistance League chapters vital contributors to their communities across the nation.
Assistance League member volunteers offer a number of vital programs that help strengthen communities. These programs vary across our 120 chapters based on the needs identified in each community. While the majority of programs focus on children and providing services such as school clothing, shoes, personal care items, school supplies and literacy, Assistance League chapters offer programs and services that touch every age group.
